RaceFace ARC 30, Shimano XT
RaceFace and Easton are the same company, with RaceFace covering the mountain bike end of things while Easton does road and cross. What these common companies have in common is great rims. Easton's ARC series is beautifully made, tougher than the math section of the SAT, tubeless ready, and available in a series of widths to suit your preferred tire width an riding menu.
Shimano XT hubs are a de facto standard in the dirty world. They're not the lightest, but they will last until the next ice age (maybe not such a good analogy?) and roll with dependability and élan until then. Available in all relevant mountain bike axle standards (except Lefty, and fat, and maybe some others), they will make your bike sing without making your wallet sing the blues.
We lace them with Sapim Race spokes, which will take all of your abuse and then some more, and black Wheelsmith brass nipples. Other combos available by full custom order.
These being Shimano hubs, they're only available in 32h drilling.
