Café Racer 46 Disc, Aivee MP2
We sold more Aivee MP2 hubs (by far) than forecasted. Being French, Aivee takes most of August off, so we won't be able to get any more until early October. If you need wheels more quickly than that, we would suggest substituting the Aivee hubs with DT350. This costs an additional $100 but with immediate availability.
Life's more than just going fast, you want to look the best doing it. The Cafe Racer 46 is most at home on the road (actually it's most at home up the road) thanks to the 46mm depth, but it's more than happy to pretty up your cross and gravel adventures, too. With the same 28.5mm outer width and 21.5mm inner width as the RCG36, the Café Racer 46 is aerodynamically ideal with 28mm tires (i.e. most current 25s) but will happily dance with anything from a true 25 (i.e. most 23s) to a 42mm gravel tire. Thanks to its light weight (less than many carbon rim brake clinchers of similar depth), you won't want to leave it at home for the climby days, either.
Aivee MP2 hubs are meticulously built in France, using aerospace technology, materials, and tooling equipment. They are a perfect balance between the craftsmanship, quality, and durability of more expensive hubs, and the lower price of lesser hubs. Rapid engagement with 3 pawls, and available in QR, 12mm, and 15mm front and QR and 12x142 rear axle formats. Switching between axle formats is simple and fast with optional end caps. Both SRAM/Shimano and XD drive are available.
Laced with black Sapim CX Rays and black brass nipples (other options available as custom orders), 2x crossing throughout. Includes tubeless ready rim tape (the best for tubes, too) and valve extenders.
